Blueberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

This smoothie can be used as a breakfast replacement as it has all of the macros, is well balanced and nutrient dense. Aside from it’s blend of macros, it’s heavy in fiber, antioxidants, omega 3’s, and whole grains.

My husband makes this almost every night and brings it with him to work in the morning. He created this recipe a few years ago and has made small adjustments to get it just right. You can use dairy free milk and plant based protein powder like he does, or you can use cow’s milk and whey protein if you have no dietary restrictions. Either way, this is sure to be your favorite new breakfast smoothie!

Blueberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

  • 1 cup non dairy milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 scoop protein powder plant based (or whey if not vegan)
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp ground flax and/or chia seeds
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon


  • Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend until smooth and serve cold.


 Can also be made ahead refrigerated over night. Enjoy!
